Revelation was written to God's people in the midst of persecution for Jesus' name. It's intended to help them, in whatever period, to understand what's going on and their place in God's plan.   Satan has a plan to oppose God and defeat His people. In the midst of the turmoil we can be confident that God is still in charge. God, the Judge, is seated on His throne, judging His creation. He will defeat those who seek to destroy HIs plan and His people. We have read the final chapter: God wins! And we triumph with Him.
