The Resurrection Must Be Made Visible | Homily for the Second Sunday of Easter
from At the Lamb’s High Feast · host Fr. Timothy Eck
Homily for the Second Sunday of Easter on April 12, 2026. Christ does not reveal His Resurrection apart from His wounds, but through them, and it is through something visible and concrete that faith is born. What the wounds were for Thomas, the Church is meant to be for the world: a real, embodied place where the risen Christ can be encountered. If that visible life of communion and sacrificial love is absent, then faith becomes unintelligible, and the world has no reason to believe. Mass Readings: First Reading: Acts 2:42-47 Psalm: Psalm 118:2-4, 13-15, 22-24 Second Reading: 1 Peter 1:3-9 Alleluia Verse: John 20:29 Gospel: John 20:19-31 Links: Readings Link: https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/041226.cfm Site: https://verbumcaro.com/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@AttheLambsHighFeast
