On Saturday evening, April 4, 33 AD some women bought spices to cover the stench of Jesus' decomposing body. With the first faint light of dawn, April 5, 33 AD, some women left for the tomb of Jesus to put additional spices on His body and cover up the stench of decomposition. On the morning of April 5, 33 AD, some women found the stone rolled away from Jesus' tomb, and His body was gone. On the morning of April 5, 33 AD, an angel told the women that Jesus had been resurrected from death. On Friday afternoon, April 3, 33 AD death appeared to swallow Jesus. On Sunday April 5, 33 AD, people began to learn that Jesus had swallowed death. Jesus confers grace - Triune God given, life-giving grace - to the unworthy. Your only hope in life and death is the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
