The Rich Young Ruler

It's God who saves, and anything is possible with God. The Rich Young Ruler was saying he's the perfect candidate for discipleship, he wasn't a tax collector, he kept all the commandments, he was teachable. But all the while he was trying to get it for himself. The only answer to the question: "How does one become a disciple?" Is reliance upon God. The failure of the Rich Young Ruler was not his wealth, but his refusal to rely upon God.
