May 21, 2025 Daily Devotion: "The Righteousness and Kindness of the Lord" Psalm 145:17 New Living Translation  17 The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. Have you ever been the recipient of someone else's random act of kindness? We can al agree that it feels pretty good. The person receiving the kindness is blessed, but the onebeing kind is equally blessed. Taking the time to be kind is one of the simplest ways to add joy to our lives. We can know many things about God through His Word. He's faithful and forgiving. He's mighty and merciful. He's loving and long-suffering. Yet sometimes we forget that He's kind. The psalmist declared that His every work is one of kindness. We miss out on joy when we fail to recognize the many kindnesses of the Lord. He didn't have to create waterfalls or beautiful, purple sunsets. He didn't have to make birds that sing and leaves that rustle. God's kind works are everywhere. We can live joyfully when we learn to see them.
