The rise and plateauing of the right in Spain

In this talk with Pablo, we look at the development of the right in Spain in particular, but also in some instances we consider the characteristics of right wing political organisations everywhere.The right only wants to have a convenient-left. They don’t want a real left, a socialist left, because they fear the power that will shift towards it and inextricably away from them. When you see independent organisations present views that go against the current, pay attention to what is being said, and pay equal attention to how those views are countered by mainstream, right-wing parties and their supporters.In the political landscape of right-wing extremists it is not enough to identify enemies from abroad, to justify military and economic policies that influence developments around the world, the flow of information at source, online, at home, everywhere must be controlled and filtered. This is why people fight for democracy. We don’t actually live in democracies, but we live in countries that choose to maintain some democratic principles, if we demand them to, if we want them to. The right to unfiltered and unfalsified information is one of the rights we should demand within a democracy.
