It is characterized by a lack of empathy, a grandiose sense of self-importance, and a need for admiration. People with this disorder are often manipulative, exploitative, and prone to violent outbursts. They are often highly critical of others and may even resort to physical abuse to get their way. They also have a tendency to blame others for their own mistakes, and may even use lies and deception to get what they want.<br />The rise in narcissism overall is starting to affect most aspects of people’s everyday lives. People are becoming more focused on their own needs and desires, and less focused on the needs and opinions of others. This can lead to a decrease in empathy, an increase in self-centered behavior, and an overall lack of concern for the well-being of others. This type of behavior can lead to a decrease in interpersonal relationships and an increase in conflict.
