Matrescense - the term used to describe the emotional, physical and social transition that women go through when becoming a mother - is something that the Dublin poet says needs more open and honest discussion. In today’s episode she tells Ingle about the “avalanche” that followed her transition into motherhood, how she battled feelings of maternal regret and why she believes society is not set up to support new mothers.
