She has been playing volleyball since I was 5 years old and grew up in a volleyball family, so I’ve been surrounded by the game from an early age. I played club volleyball at the club my parents started, Starlings South Bay, before moving to Mizuno Long Beach, where I played for seven years.Nalani played high school volleyball at Redondo Union, and during my sophomore year, I verbally committed to play college volleyball at the University of Texas at Austin. She went on to play at Texas from 2020–2022 before transferring to Michigan State University, where I finished my college career from 2022–2024. Her freshman year at Texas, we made it to the National Championship, followed by an Elite Eight appearance my sophomore year.At Michigan State, I earned multiple Defensive Player of the Week awards and was named Defensive Player of the Year my senior year.
