The Road at Potters Creek

from Holler Tales — Fexingo Horror · host Fexingo

September 1987. A man named Eldon Wray takes a shortcut down an unmarked gravel road off Potters Creek Highway in eastern Kentucky. The road isn't on any map—it's just there, waiting between two telephone poles. He drives it once, then again, then a third time, because the road keeps ending in the same place: a white farmhouse with a single lit window. Each time he turns around, the road stretches longer on the way out. By the third pass, the house has moved closer to the pavement. The window isn't just lit—it's watching. And the woman standing in the doorway is wearing the same dress every time, a dress the color of dried blood. Eldon told this story to my uncle at a gas station outside Morehead, and my uncle wrote it down in a spiral notebook he kept in his glove box. This is what it said. #PottersCreek #Kentucky #EldonWray #September1987 #Shortcut #Farmhouse #LitWindow #BloodDress #UnmarkedRoad #HighwayHorror #Appalachia #GasStationStory #UncleNotebook #RoadHorror #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #HollerTales #LunaReads Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
