THE ROAD FORWARD | AUGUST 23RD, 2026

On this edition of Sunday: The Road Forward, Ryan Helfenbein reflects on America’s 250-year legacy of liberty, faith and sacrifice before welcoming Pastor Willie Rice, president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Rice examines the Christian worldview that shaped America’s founding, the Bible’s enduring influence on the nation’s moral framework and the importance of biblical truth in the public square. He also discusses encouraging signs among younger generations, including a renewed hunger for Scripture, substance and authentic faith — and why a genuine spiritual awakening must ultimately be rooted in God’s Word.
