Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! Y'all, I am really not kind to these books in this episode. Please brace yourselves for me being extremely harsh about the way the stories are constructed, the choices that the author chooses to make, the fact that the final two chapters of the book bring NOTHING NEW at all to the table, and how the characters all seem virtually interchangeable with one another. I really really hope the next book's opening is an indicator of the whole thing because it's a good first chapter, but I've been burned twice now and I am CONCERNED.
