In response to this challenge, the CMS Innovation Center has sped up the transition from a healthcare system that pays for volume to one that pays for value through its models, projects, and Congressionally mandated demonstrations.The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Center, also known as “CMMI,” develops and tests new healthcare payment and service delivery models to:1.
