THE ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: John 14:26 "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." Jesus promised His followers a divine Helper—the Holy Spirit—who would continue His work after His physical departure. The Holy Spirit is not distant or passive; He is actively present in the life of every believer. His role is to teach us, guide us into truth, remind us of God’s Word, and empower us to live according to God’s will. Through the Holy Spirit, the Bible becomes more than just words on a page—it becomes alive and personal. He brings understanding to Scripture, convicts us of sin, and produces spiritual fruit within us. When we feel weak, confused, or lost, the Spirit offers wisdom, strength, and direction. To fully walk in step with the Holy Spirit, we must learn to listen and yield. As we grow in sensitivity to His voice, we begin to recognize His promptings and follow His lead. This relationship is essential for living a victorious, Spirit-filled life. Today, ask yourself: Am I making space daily to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and respond in obedience? Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank You for being my Teacher, Comforter, and Guide. Help me to be sensitive to Your leading and to trust in Your wisdom. Teach me to walk closely with You every day, and remind me of the truth of God’s Word. Amen.
