The Room

We're taking on another listener request this week. This one comes from TakLover102: The Room (2003). "In San Francisco, an amiable banker's seemingly perfect life is turned upside down when his deceitful bride-to-be embarks on a passionate affair with his best friend." - IMDb Widely considered one of the most gloriously disastrous films ever made, The Room is the passion project of the mysterious auteur Tommy Wiseau, who wrote, directed, produced, and stars in the film as the endlessly trusting Johnny. What unfolds is a melodramatic spiral of betrayal, football tossing, rooftop angst, and some of the most baffling dialogue ever committed to film. Join us as we try to unpack the madness of Johnny, Lisa, Mark, and the rest of this strange San Francisco friend group. Is it a tragic love story? A cautionary tale about friendship? Or just two hours of people walking into rooms and saying “Oh hi”? Either way… you're tearing us apart, Lisa. Join The Cumin Club to get Indian food meal kits delivered right to you door!
