Jesus, in the room with his disciples, begins to hint and even outright say he will die and leave them. The disciples are naturally unsettled by the prospect of his absence. So Jesus offers them three comforts that we discuss in this sermon. First, he exhorts them to presence his love to each and the world. Second, he explains he isn't leaving for no purpose, but for their benefit--to, like the American pioneers, trailblaze a place for the disciples to follow him to. Thus, Jesus says he is the only way to God, and in the sermon we discuss whether or not all roads lead to God/heaven. And third, Jesus explains he will send his Holy Spirit to be his voice to lead us along the path he had set for us.
