The Rooster That Crowed Too Soon | Moral Stories

This story is about Red Rooster, an arrogant bird who constantly boasts about his bravery and fighting skills to the other barnyard animals, including a new, peaceful drake. Despite chasing off one rival and bragging loudly from the henhouse roof, his claims are put to the test when a hawk swoops down and grabs him while he's too busy boasting to heed warnings. He is only saved when his master shoots the hawk, but the rooster foolishly tries to take credit for the victory.
