The Run That Made Us Friends | Preamble | E&O Show #00

Episode 00 is the preamble: how Laz Szalvay and Brandon Hozack went from passing each other running opposite directions around Round Lake to Brandon holding Laz's hand on the way down Mingus Mountain at the Cocodona 250. They had never met. A mutual friend kept telling each of them about the other. A mile into their first run together, Brandon said he was looking for a crew for a 250-mile race he had failed to finish the year before. Laz said, "I'll be your crew," and checked his calendar while they were still running. This is the story of that race, the 30-mile stretch Laz had never run anything close to, and why it turned into a podcast. The Errors and Omissions Show documents the people who build and run companies: the whole story, in order, in one sitting. New episodes weekly from January 2027.
