All new Rundown!   Earlier this month NYU banned sports and performing arts clubs from holding practices in-person, leaving club leaders scrambling for solutions; Grace Symes has the story.  The Rikers Island jail complex is in the midst of a worsening humanitarian crisis. Sachin Sundar spoke to Zachary Gillespie, an alumnus of NYU’s prison education program, for his insights on the situation inside Rikers. Musicians are getting creative with their performing venues in Harlem. Aria Young has the story. Working-class immigrant cab drivers have been financially ruined by unpayable medallion debt as a direct result of city policy. For several weeks, activists have been picketing outside city hall to demand city-backed guarantee on medallion debt for taxi drivers. Here’s the story. Vaishnavi Naidu is the Managing Editor at NYU's magazine, Under the Arch. Today, she shares her poem, "Ode to the Little Girl in the Puffer Jacket" and discusses the creative process and the themes behind it. City University of New York is a public university that has existed since the eighteen hundreds. Winnie Marion, an NYU student organizer on the New Deal for CUNY campaign, talks about the recent wave of protests. Hosted by Grace Wanebo.
