On November, 2015, Aaron Burros fought to stay alive after being shot 5 times while saving his co-worker’s lives. As a promising professional trail runner, he realized at this moment, his career and future was being jeopardized. Although he survived by a mere millimeter, a bullet remained buried in his right glute muscle, and debilitating PTSD would stalk him daily. Fighting depression, unbearable pain and PTSD, Aaron knew he had to do something to avoid living a minimal life. He returned to running in 2019 following grueling physical and emotional therapy. He created an audacious goal for himself to run 50 marathons in 50 states to celebrate his 50th birthday and raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities while achieving his goal.
