The Rust Inhibitor

from Hope-Full Living · host Harry Edenfield

Right where I had left it! The formerly shiny shovel was now dusted with rust, the price of non-use. Is your experience such as mine? My chair has Velcro sewn into the fabric — so do my pants. It is not a challenge to sit a “while,” gazing at what needs to be done. Twenty minutes pass; I’m feeling rusty. The Apostle Paul tells us that God is near us. Jesus has no Velcro problems: He was not stuck in death’s tomb. Jesus has given us “life movement.” The Spirit’s motion animates mine. With activated mind and heart, I can see clearly now. The rust is fought. Communication with others resumes. Dishes get washed. The screen goes black. The Bible is read. The note is texted or mailed. Needed water is drunk. Hope-Full Living is stimulated.
