[NEWS]Police safely resolved a standoff Sunday night in the 9000 block of Almondwillow Way after a 17-year-old allegedly attempted to attack family members with a knife. Crisis negotiators and SWAT responded, and the teen was taken into custody without injuries. He was booked into Juvenile Hall on assault with a deadly weapon charges.Overnight, officers made two additional arrests during traffic incidents. At Fruitridge Road and Carmela Way, police stopped an electric bicycle after a brief pursuit and recovered an illegal firearm. The suspect was arrested. And near Meadowview Road and Amherst Street, officers located a stolen vehicle and arrested the driver. All cases remain under investigation.[CITY WATCH]Sacramento County is reporting success with its Scattered Site Shelter Program, which master leases single-family homes to house people experiencing homelessness.
