NEWSRancho Cordova police identified the suspect in Tuesday’s fatal shooting as 58-year-old David Vallerga. Officers found Vallerga and three victims deceased inside a Mill Water Circle home — a 49-year-old woman, a 13-year-old boy, and an 11-year-old girl. Authorities say Vallerga called 911, identified himself as the shooter, and warned of possible booby traps. The investigation is ongoing.CITY WATCHSacramento County warns that batteries do not belong in curbside trash. Crushed batteries can spark fires in collection trucks and facilities. Many everyday items contain hidden batteries, including toys, vapes, and small electronics.
