And me, Samantha Hearn, I cannot wait to welcome you, support you, empower and inspire you, and share with you the stories that sometimes don't get shared online, and give you this real refreshing approach on how building a business sometimes can be hard, sometimes involves failing, sometimes involves struggle, but you can still succeed anyway. So welcome to the Bea Bold in Business podcast, and I cannot wait for you to take your invitation to be bold in your business too. Okay, in today's podcast episode, I'm going to be talking to you about the real sales strategy. What I mean by that is there can be this idea that selling is very different to marketing, or selling is different to being online, or selling is only on calls, or selling can become really kind of forced, and there has to be this separate strategy for it.

And a lot of businesses then find themselves in a situation where they're either really good at marketing, really good at content creation, really good at serving, really good at selling, but creating a business that actually has a robust success in all of those areas takes a very different mindset. So the reason that we're talking about these real sales strategies is over the last 12 months, as my own businesses have evolved, my clients' results have evolved, the programs that I do, the support that I offer, I've seen so many different shifts and transformations within my clients, in terms of understanding how they can really start building for filling successful businesses, without creating these very separated viewpoints on, okay, now I need to look at selling, or now I need to look at marketing, or my content isn't very good, etc. So the first thing I really want to talk about is this idea of what it actually does mean for you to create a successful sales strategy in your business on repeat. And the reason that this matters is I don't want any of you in a situation where your business is going through this feast and famine, it's going through this up and down phase, this force, and then this workload, you know, so you force yourself to launch your sale, then you get the clients, then you have to serve them, and then you start again.

So it's very stop-start. You can feel like it's either if you're actively selling, it's working, and if you're not, you're not making money, and we need to change that. So when I'm saying this successful sales strategy that you can use on repeat, that's the real focus here. How can you continue to attract and create sales in your business on repeat?

The first thing that we need to look at is sales is not about the sale itself. So if you're currently running your business based on things like just doing the outreach, or only talking about your services, or reaching out to people, basically pitching your services, that is a way to sell, but it's always going to be a way that is effort loaded. So you are having to do quite a lot of the work. And when you think about this from an energetic standpoint, what's actually happening is there's a lot of you pulling people in.

There's not a lot of people pushing to get to you. You know, there's not a lot of people coming your way saying, let's talk, let's do this, let's make this happen. You're constantly going into their space. So from an energetic standpoint, that's going to create quite a lot of heaviness on your part.

You're feeling like you're doing a lot of the work to attract them in. And that's before you've even got the sale. So what I really want us to be looking at is how you can actually create a sales strategy that doesn't involve you feeling like one, it's really forced to it's always coming from you. And you're always the one that's kind of going out there.

And it's essentially like, you're saying, look at me, look at me, bye from me, bye from me. So you then almost have this energy of needing to prove that it's worth it, because they didn't actually come to you, you went to them. So there's a difference there already. It's also exactly the same when you think about it from a social media perspective.

If you're thinking about selling separately to creating your content, and when you create your content, you absolutely love it. But then when it comes to selling, you're almost freeze. It becomes this really awkward conversation. You don't know what to say or how to say it.

When someone does come into your DMs, you don't really know what happens next. Then you get friend zones, then you feel deflated. And that whole sales experience to you and your subconscious then becomes really negative or really, really uncomfortable. And that's what I really want to shift.

So again, everything I'm going to be going through with you are things that work in my business and for my clients that use this system. But it's not the only way. I'm not saying this is the only way, but I am saying I've been able to use this really successfully and really simply and easily. And if that's what you want in your business, then this might be something to try.

So what I mean by that is I never used paid advertising in my business to create sales. I went for a stage in 2021 where I was using paid advertising to bring new people in when I was doing some free trainings and of growing my audience. I did a lot of around brand awareness, repurposing videos on YouTube and on my Facebook page. But I've never had ads in terms of really focusing on that sales system.

I mean, that's definitely something I want to do. Come on, who doesn't? But it isn't when I'm saying that this has worked for me for the last five years, easily and simply it's because it hasn't been based on lots of overheads. It's not been based on needing really complicated systems.

It's not been based on excessive funnels or really getting overwhelmed with the tech side. It's just been based on keeping things simple. So you can definitely do both, of course. And if you're in a point where you want to start expanding, amazing.

But if you actually just want to start nailing the sales, then I could potentially start stripping back from the complexities and really honing in or mastering your craft so this can be simpler. So here are some things to think about. When you're looking at your sales strategy, I think it's really important that you recognize that there is, if you were to imagine this like a pie, there are so many slices of that pie, correct? Each slice of that pie then contributes to making the whole pie.

So this is how I perceive successful consistent on repeat sales. One slice of that pie will be your online presence. Another slice of that pie will be the value that you add. Another slice of that pie will be showing your client results and the testimonials that you've got on feedback that you're getting.

Another slice of that pie will be you actually selling. Another slice of that pie might be collaborations, networking, winning awards, being on podcast interviews. Another slice of that pie might be your own content, how you're varying your content. Do you have a YouTube channel or podcast, do you do lives, whatever it might be?

So you can very clearly see here, when it comes to selling, it's not just about, buy my thing, buy my thing. It's about all of the other areas that contribute to that. And why do I say this? And some people think, oh, this is, that sounds really draining, but ultimately we need to then ask ourselves, well, what would, is it working?

Is what you're doing right now working? If the answer is no, then surely that is draining. So we need to find a system that's going to allow you to do some key things. Now, if you want your business to continue to grow, you of course want to make sure that your business is innovating, is being seen, has visibility, building credibility, and constantly in amongst all of this energy in the online space.

If you are focusing on that online service provider, or you have an online shop product, you know, so it's really important to then think about what you're doing to have these things coexist. So are you? And this is the key thing. This is such a good example.

So I yesterday decided I was going to do a live, it was a 15 minute live, and I was just going to talk about everything I talked to my clients with the day before. From that live, I signed up on client the same day, simple, simple and effective strategy. I didn't know that was going to happen, but I did talk about it and I have a framework for that. But I did talk about your far explicitly said to it, it's foreign health, but I just went online to talk about how I'm clients.

Now, because I am and I have a real consistency around my visibility, adding value, showing my clients results, celebrating wins, it just becomes part of the success culture for my brand and my business. So selling then energetically is never really about me selling, it's about me showing how I can support and serve. So when you look at your business model and what you're doing day to day, what are you doing that looks at all of the other slices of the pie, not just trying to get in the sale? Because when we energetically only focus on the sale, what we're not then doing is building up trust, building up credibility, showcasing our knowledge, sharing and adding value, you can see very quickly how these things add up.

And that is really key when you think about your community's buying behaviours. What is going to encourage them to buy, being able to spend time with you, being able to connect with you, learn about who you are and how you can help them, be able to understand what it is that you actually do with the money that comes in from these clients. Do you work with any charities, do you do any foundation works, are you celebrating buying your house or retiring your parents or whatever it might be? People like to know that they're part of something, we all enjoy having that belonging.

And if we're creating a business that not only is allowing people to see what's happening and why it's happening, how you can help and where you can help, it's going to mean that they can make the decision themselves. You don't need to constantly go out to people and say, come here, look at me, buy from me. It's more, well, you can see all of my content, you can enjoy all of these free trainings, you can see what's going on behind the scenes, you can allow me to help impact you, you can see me consistently showing up and supporting my audience. And that in itself is going to speak volumes for your sales strategy in the long term.

And the other thing I just want to point out here is being consistent does not mean being online 24-7. It does not mean being online 24-7. Yesterday, when I did this live for 15 minutes, that's the only thing I did on Instagram because I was serving my clients all day, it was a really busy coaching day for me. So I did another stories and other posts.

So I'm not saying that being consistent means that you need to overload yourself with just becoming the content creation machine or being online 24-7 like I did. I already know. What I am saying is we need to start thinking beyond the sale, beyond the sale. And the reason that that's important is how is your business going to continue to grow with leads and interest and entry if we're not giving them a reason?

So if we're just coming into sale and then we get our clients and be like, happy days, I'll hit my goal. For the next three months, we then just disappear. We're serving those clients, we're making that money, but then that whole cycle needs to start again. Can you see the whole cycle, then we need to start again.

We take that time out and we retreat because we hit ourselves goal. But when we come back, people have still forgotten what you do and where you've been. So if we're going in this cycle of once a quarter, we come in and sell, what's happening between those times? Are you still adding value?

Are you talking about the thing that you've sold and how you're helping those people? Are you creating an experience? Are you taking people on a journey? And even if you think about any business, whether it's Apple, a car, they are continually evolving.

If they just disappeared for two years and came back and said, this is what we've been doing, you'd want to know the backstory. So they might be like a documentary or videos on YouTube, how we've evolved this car, what we've done with this new phone, how it looks, they give you some like crit sheets about benefits and why we've done it, research, maybe there'd be interviews. So no matter how we are going to build the business, we need the story behind it. And for all of us, especially in the online space, it's so fluid, things happen so quickly.

So when you're thinking about your real success strategy, your real success in your sales, on repeat, the thing that's going to do that for you is not going to be the selling. It's going to be the other pieces of that puzzle that keep you in front of mind, keep you current, keep you innovating, keep you adding value for people and being their solution and keep people understanding and wanting to find out more, keeping people intrigued. So start thinking about in your content, in your brand awareness, this is the other thing that we want to think about, creating content is not just to create content, you know, to get engagement in the here and now, it's to continue to build your brand, to build that awareness for people to actually start to learn about what you stand for, the value. And this is the other thing, I've got so much to say.

So the other thing that's super important here is showcasing your value doesn't mean that people might want to work with you. And this is a really common thing. I don't want to give it all the way. I don't want to tell people everything and they want to work with me.

They'll want to work with you more, because when they see what you have to offer, they see the value that you can add, they want that for themselves, they want that in their business, they want the eyes on their business, you know, or wherever it is that they're stuck in their mindset, their energy relationship, they want that personal experience. So give yourself the opportunity now to really reflect on how are you showing up for your brand, how are you showing up for your community, and what are you doing to do these three things, continue to add value so your audience wants to come back, allow yourself to be front of mind, so you have a visibility strategy, share and showcase your knowledge and client results so that people then want to find out more. If you're doing these three things and you're looking at this pie and remember the beginning, I get lots of different examples, it could be collaborations, it could be interviews, it could be lives, it could be diversifying your content strategy, it could be looking at your marketing message, whatever it might be in your pie, remember that sales experience is never just the only ingredient, because if we are focusing on that as the only ingredient, you're end up in a situation where people then say, well, how can you help me? What results have you got?

Who have you done? Whereas if that's the part of the experience anyway, tell, well, actually, go look at this post, go and watch this reel, go and look at these highlights, look at these testimonials, go on my website, it's all there. You don't then have this energy of needing to prove and that sale becoming really heavy. So in terms of this real successful sales strategy, I want you to really start thinking about what you're doing to build up your own pie, what you're doing to make sure that your sales experience and your sales journey is not just based on coming by from me, it's based on all of the other elements that are going to actually elevate your brand, you being the solution, showcasing your knowledge, building credibility and allowing people to come to you.

So I've got so much more that I want to say on this, but this is the primary focus, I want you to start reframing, looking at this pie, looking at what you're doing and understanding the impact of this holistic approach. So I would love to find out if you've got any questions, anything you want to find out about this, please just be on Instagram and I would happily do a live training for you, whether you go into a bit more detail, I answer any of your questions or even doing a podcast part two on it. So let me know your thoughts, feedback, how this lands for you, if I can help screenshot this episode, tag me on Instagram, I'd love to find out where you are, how this landed for you in any reflections. And yes, if you need any further support, I would love to open up that conversation with you.

But let's start building your really robust, successful pies and not just seeing sales on something separate. Let's make it a positive experience for you and something that you can use and elevate consistently in your business. Enjoy and I'll see you soon.
