We all have "husbands," and they all leave us dry and empty. Jesus is confronting us with a problem that we all have and go about trying to fill, restless with a sense of meaninglessness, purposelessness, and emptiness. “If you drink from this water… you’ll be thirsty again, and again, and again. Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling to eternal life. ”Big Idea: Satisfaction in Jesus Aim: CATL only Jesus can satisfy humanity's deepest longing. I.
