The Sandwich Generation

Nadine Roberts Cornish is a Certified Senior Advisor, Author, Speaker and Founder of The Caregivers’ Guardian.  Nadine was her mother’s caregiver for 15 years. When her mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor, she took her first steps in becoming a caregiver. Eventually, she moved from shuttling back and forth between California and Colorado to becoming a 24/7 caregiver for the last 4 years of her mother’s life.  This experience changed her life and her career, and she founded The Caregivers’ Guardian - a consulting and support service for caregivers.  The life lessons she learnt when looking after her mother also became the basis for her first book: Tears in my Gumbo.  Women in their 40’s and upwards, are now in the unique position of being the sandwich generation, raising children as well as caring for ageing parents.
