Next up is another clear coat in preparation for panel lines and weathering. I also started work on an Arma Hobbies 1/72 Hurricane. Interior green has been painted and cockpit assembly started.Geoff - I acquired a partially built 1/32 Trumpeter F4U-4 Corsair from the estate of club member Don Van Dusen, who passed last year. He loved Corsairs and was converting this kit to the cannon-armed version. It’s an extensive conversion, and it took me a while to figure out what he was trying to achieve. He was a very good modeller, and my goal is to complete it as he wanted and to his standard as best I can. Lots of resin, scratch-built additions and the like. I am enjoying this exercise, and it’s stretching my skills a bit as well.[foogallery id="2875"]Terry - Not a whole lot of progress, summer slows my progress a bit. I did dig out Randy Cooper’s Hammerhead corvette for cleanup and epoxy putty filling etc. It’s a long-term project, and since I was watching Stranger Things 4 at the time, the work proceeded slowly. The Gamillon ships have not proceeded past gloss-coating.[foogallery id="2865"]***************************************SPONSOR AD #2Sean’s Custom Hobby Tools***************************************THINGS WE’VE SEENMitsubishi Babs Mitsubishi Babs: The world's first high-speed strategic reconnaissance aircraft: Volume 1: Picarella, Giuseppe, Picarella, Giuseppe: 9788366549739: Amazon.com: BooksThe 2022 SciFiantasy Annual Halloween Group Build | Hobby Link InternationalHS Models 1/350 mixed media bits for your ships.HS Models US Navy 40mm Quad Bofors (Late Version)* (HSM350008) Kitlinx, llcIllinois Holocaust Museum exhibit on the Ghost Army deceptive units.https://boingboing.net/2022/07/07/stormtrooper-helmet-and-blaster-used-in-1977s-star-wars-up-for-auction.html***************************************THE LAST WORDSMP Ep. 98 is also sponsored by Return To Kit Form (R2KF).
