The Scandal, Miracle and Wonder of Christmas

Christmas can become so familiar that its shock disappears. Joseph faces public shame when Mary is found pregnant, yet he obeys after an angel says her child is conceived by the Holy Spirit. The child receives two names: Jesus, because He saves His people from sin, and Emmanuel, because God has come to be with them.
