Sometimes, tall women are misgendered. There are quite a few stories around this, ranging from being called ‘sir’ to literally being asked straight up ‘Are you a man?’ Now, why does this happen? Height = masculinity…to some people. Because it’s a desirable physical trait associated with men. Most people typically apologize and go about their lives normally when they find out that a tall cisgender woman is, in fact, a cisgender woman and not transgender, but not all interactions are that way.
