from Late Night Health Radio · host Late Night Health

Turmeric, a yellow spice used in many Asian cuisines, especially for curries, has been used in India and parts of Asia for thousands of years for its health promoting properties and is now enjoying increasing popularity in Western nutrition. Scientists have identified curcumin, a substance in turmeric, as the anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory agent mainly responsible for turmeric’s health benefits, although there are other compounds in turmeric that are believed to be medicinal as well. Medical author Christian Wilde visits with Mark to talk about this seemingly miracle spice.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/late-night-health-radio--2804369/support.
