The Second NZ Sports Podcast

from The ninesixfourtwo’s Podcast · host NumberNine and The Fool

To make up for The Editors slackness in getting episodes edited and released here is another of the episodes that were recorded before NumberNine was on holiday. As you can hear in the intro, this episode should have been released later March / Early April in time for Easter, but better late than never as they say.   In this episode NumberNine and The Fool further delve into the oval ball codes in NZ and Australia, looking into Rugby Union, Rugby League and even a tiny bit of Australian Rules Football. They also look over the mostly finalised Silver Lake deal that the New Zealand Rugby Union has agreed in principle (still being ratified by provincial unions) which now has the backing of the Players Association.  The pair discuss why this is a better deal, and also discuss the state of Super Rugby in NZ and Australia, as well as a bit on the state of world rugby. Then the world of NRL is examined, and the upcoming season through the eyes of one-eyed Warriors fans (albeit before the recent spat of games).   For those that need a link, here is the first NZ sports podcast that is referenced in this podcast: https://ninesixfourtwo.podbean.com/e/s08e14-the-nz-sport-podcast/
