The Secret Life of Sunflowers

Marta Molnar's novel blends the fictional life of Emsley WIlson and the historical life of Johanna Bonger van Gogh. Emsley inherits Johanna's diary and letters from her grandmother before her death. As Emsley deals with her grief and the business of getting her grandmother's house ready to sell, she learns of Johanna's story and can relate to the struggles she had as she navigates this difficult time in her life.
