The Secrets to the "T" Cover Letter

There are many formats to choose from when drafting a cover letter.  Many people prefer a straightforward, paragraph based cover letter simply because they’re comfortable with it or possibly because they haven’t heard of other, possibly better formats. The T–Letter One style in particular that we in the ETP Network find exceptionally beneficial is the T–Letter. The express purpose of a T–Letter is to demonstrate — with strong visual impact — exactly why you are uniquely qualified for the position you seek.  If you’ve done your homework well and selected a position for which you are a dead–on match, a T–Letter gives you the chance to lay out your case for the job “point by point” using a chart in the middle of the letter. The chart compares each core requirement for the job on the left with a corresponding “qualification bullet” on the right demonstrating how you have proven experience for that requirement.
