The Self Podcast: Season 2 Episode 8

from Self Podcast · host Emily Ayers and Jordan Daniels

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to Episode 8 of the Self Podcast. We both thought a lot about a title for this episode and decided that “Unpacking” summed up our discussion the best. This week, we wanted to take some time to process everything that has been happening in our country lately. It has felt like the past two weeks have been filled with events that have been hard for us to process individually. From the Tragedy in Las Vegas to it being National Mental Health Day, we felt like it was only right to allow ourselves the time to “unpack” the effect these events have had on us. We talk about National Coming Out Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Trump’s handling of the Hurricane in Puerto Rico, and more. We think this above all this episode represents the importance of giving yourself the time and space to process things. It can all become overwhelming and overstimulating if you don’t properly decompress. If any of what we cover in the Podcast sparked something inside of you, please reach out to us on Social Media, or send us an email at [email protected]. Thank you so much for listening and remember you can always tune in and subscribe on iTunes and GooglePlay! Listen to the episode here.
