The Sensible Lisa Brozek

from Free Reverie · host Juju B

Welcome to Season 3 of Free Reverie!! We will start off the season by speaking with Lisa Brozek. One day, she had this idea of writing a song in the perspective of her autistic son. To her surprise, this song became a hit. 💛 Anyways, it was never her intention of trying to become famous. Lisa wanted to express how her son felt in song because that is what he enjoys most, which is music. Anyone who knows someone who has a disability will absolutely love this piece. Lisa really exposed the truth that those with disabilities experience but aren't able to put down into words. She is a remarkable woman, for sure. 🧡 Not only does her son play the drums in the song but her daughter is also the singer. It seems as though this musical family will go far in life. Make sure to listen to the song and support raising awareness for those on the Autism Spectrum. With the help of Band Together Pittsburgh, the song is making a difference ❤️ Check out the music video and give it a thumbs up! 👍🏻 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWJkH9Fs3XM&feature=youtu.be "The purpose of Band Together Pittsburgh (a recognized 501 (c) 3 non profit organization) is to employ the power of music to engage youth on the autism spectrum and their families. 💚 Music has the proven capacity to enhance social interactions, build and develop communication skills, and improve motor/sensory, emotional, and academic/cognitive functioning. PLUS it’s FUN! 💙 Music brings us together. Fills our souls. And creates pathways to help those on the autism spectrum to build new skills. The founders of Band Together Pittsburgh have decades of experience in the music scene and in the non profit youth development world. 💜 That knowledge coupled with a science based approach provides us with a solid foundation to provide programming."
