Israel was meant to make God known, but the nation failed and kept the truth to itself. Isaiah’s servant is called Israel because He becomes the faithful representative who brings Israel back to God. God prepares and hides Him, and His rejected work seems wasted until the Father raises Him from death. Through Jesus, salvation reaches far beyond one nation.
