Isaiah’s humble, rejected figure bears the sins of people who have wandered from God, submitting silently to suffering and death. His humiliation is not a failed tragedy. Jesus fulfils this portrait by carrying His people’s guilt to the cross, where God’s planned sacrifice ends in victory and a forgiven people.
