The Seven Churches // Thyatira [Revelation 2:18-29] (Peter Sun)

Entering week 4 of our series on "The Seven Churches" in Revelation, Peter Sun looks at the letter to the Church at Thyatira in Revelation 2:18-29. Peter starts of with an overview of where the city of Thyatira is today, what it is known for, and what it was back in the time of the New Testament, specifically in regards to trade guilds, to give some background to our passage from today. Peter then reads through Revelation 2:18-29 before breaking it down. He looks at the start of this reading at how the church seems like an amazing church, but as he continues on to verse 20, the tone sets in to show that it isn't all as it seems. Peter then looks at how the church ended up the way that they did, breaking down the rest of the passage verse by verse. Peter closes by challenging us to examine why we do the works that we do.
