The Seventh Seal

Over the last few weeks, we looked at two different groups of people that will gather at the throne of God. The first of these was the 144,000 Jewish male virgins that will be sealed on their foreheads. They will represent every tribe. We learned that the church does not replace the Jewish people. The second group of people we looked at was The Great Multitude. This uncountable number of people will represent “every nation, tribe, people, and language.” I believe that both Jews and Gentiles will be in this group of people. Today, we transition back to the Seals for the opening of the Seventh Seal. As the Lamb of God opens this Seventh Seal, it will usher in the Seven Trumpets and the Seven Bowls. Our message is titled: “The Seventh Seal” Our points will be: Silence at the Throne Worship Continues The Silence Broken Main Scripture: Revelation 8:1-5 Supporting Texts: Psalm 46:10, 2 Timothy 4:3-5, Isaiah 5:20-21, Revelation 5:11, Psalm 141:2, Revelation 6:9-10, 2 Peter 3:9-10, James 5:16, Romans 12:19, Revelation 9:20-21, Hebrews 10:26-27 Diving Deeper. Why doesn’t seeing the contents of Revelation 8-19silence the 21st-century church in the same matter? Explain the importance of continual worship at the throne of God. Do you believe the 8th angel is Jesus? Explain. Explain the importance of the church sharing the Good News of Jesus.
