The Sexy Cat Beast Returns
from Modern Classics Podcast Hosted by Home Base Productions
Sexy Beast (2000) vs. The Cat Returns (2002) This week’s category is “90 Minutes or Less” and your hosts have brought two very different films to the battle arena. First up is “Sexy Beast”. Johnathan Glazer’s highly stylized crime thriller that gave us a spectacularly memorable performance by Sir Ben Kingsley. Then it’s a lesser known Studio Ghibli offering with “The Cat Returns”. A whimsical animated adventure into the secret world of cats. Listen as your host Mike and Kendell breakdown each movie. Ultimately the star score of each film will determine if they have what it takes to make the Greatest Films of The 21st Century List. Both films are full of surprises so be sure to look out for boxes of rats and creepy rabbit man creatures. Remember to rate, review and subscribe!!!
