THE SHAG HARBOR UFO INCIDENT

from 1001 Heroes, Legends, Histories & Mysteries Podcast · host Jon Hagadorn Podcast Host

On the night of October 4th, 1967, at about 11:20pm, it was reported that something had crashed into the waters of Shag Harbor, Nova Scotia. Multiple witnesses reported hearing a whistling sound and then a boom as the flying object approached the waters about 1/2 mile offshore, floating, its lights changing color, then disappearing beneath the water and traveling eastward, leaving only a yellow wake of frothy water behind. Was it an alien craft, or a top secret government project? Two men, one of whom was a boy of 12 who witnessed the UFO, never gave up on finding the truth, despite government cover-ups. Their book, "Dark Object" , by Chris Stiles and Don Ledger, is still sought out on Amazon. This story honors their efforts and that of all those who pursue the truth.
