The Shame Of Our Sins & Its Consequences "Chapter 4" | Don't Spare The Rod

We are continuing in the series “Don’t Spare the Rod”, and today we will look at Noah and his sons. After the flood, Noah planted a vineyard, made wine, and became drunk, lying uncovered inside his tent. His son Ham saw his father’s nakedness and told his brothers instead of covering him. Shem and Japheth, however, walked in backwards with a garment and respectfully covered their father without looking. When Noah awoke and learned what had happened, he pronounced a curse—not on Ham directly, but on Ham’s son Canaan—declaring that Canaan would be a servant to his brothers (Genesis 9:20–27). We will discuss the punishment Ham received and how it relates to us today.
