The Siege of Siena: How One City Defied the Empire

In this episode, Lucas and Luna explore the dramatic story of the Siege of Siena (1554–1555), a desperate last stand of the Sienese Republic against the combined forces of the Spanish Empire and the Medici of Florence. The episode covers key figures like Cosimo I de' Medici, the imperial general Gian Giacomo Medici (Medeghino), and the Sienese captain Giovanni Battista di Montauto.
