The Silence of the Night

from Historias, pesadillas urbanas de Terror

A woman living in Providence, Rhode Island, with her four-year-old daughter heard a loud noise outside her home one night. She looked out the window but saw nothing. Remembering a safety tip she had seen on Facebook, she put her car keys next to her bed so she could hit the alarm and scare off any intruders. She took a melatonin, turned off the light and went to sleep. About half an hour later, the woman was startled awake by a loud bang that shook her room. Worried about her daughter, she ran to the child's room, but found her sleeping soundly. The woman heard another loud knock and sensed something was wrong. She went downstairs with her car keys in her hand, ready to press the alarm if she heard another noise. However, the house was silent, and the woman went back to bed.
