The Silent Disease

When a person has received repeated concussions during his or her lifetime, he or she may eventually develop a neurodegenerative disease called chronic traumatic encephalopathy. For this pathology, which is usually diagnosed post-mortem, there is no treatment. In the episode “The silent disease”, of our podcast series BTH, we will tell you what happens in the brain and why, over time, certain cognitive functions are lost, and in turn, there is a change in the behavior of people suffering from this disease.
