The Silent Generation

from The Boomer Effect Hosted by The Boomer Effect with Jerry and Rose

Characteristics of the Silent Generation The older members of this generation were born during some of the most difficult times in our history; at or near the beginning of the Great Depression. They were children during World War II and came of age during the 1950s and 60s. They are smaller in numbers than their predecessors (the Greatest Generation), and smaller than the next generation, the Baby Boomers. The Silent Generation’s low birth rate was probably due to the difficult times in which they were born. The Silent Generation, as well as the Greatest Generation, were the parents of the Baby Boomers.
