The Silent Siege: Lviv 1918 and the Orlęta Lwowskie

In November 1918, as World War I ended, the multi-ethnic city of Lwów—modern-day Lviv—became the scene of a desperate battle between Polish and Ukrainian forces. While the Polish state was being reborn, its eastern borders were far from settled. This episode focuses on the defenders of Lwów, many of them teenagers and children known as the Orlęta Lwowskie, or Lwów Eaglets.
