The Silent Speaker | John 16:13 | Pastor B.J. Stagner John 16:13 "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." Come with me into the upper room. This is not the mount where thousands gathered. This is not the seaside where multitudes pressed in. This is a quiet, intimate setting where the Lord Jesus Christ is preparing His disciples for what lies ahead. In just a matter of hours, He will be betrayed, arrested, tried, and crucified. The visible presence of Christ will soon be removed from their sight. And yet, in that moment of impending loss, Christ does not leave them with despair—He leaves them with doctrine. He begins to unfold for them the ministry of the Holy Spirit. He does not introduce Him as a force.
He does not present Him as a feeling.
