In The Silver Princess in Oz, young King Randy of Regalia, bored with royal duties, eagerly agrees to a vacation adventure when his old friend Kabumpo, the Elegant Elephant of Oz, arrives. Their journey towards the Red Jinn's castle in Ev is fraught with peculiar encounters, including being buried alive by the sleepy Gapers of Gaper's Gulch and battling headless Headmen before being blown across the Deadly Desert in a storm. On the other side, they meet Planetty, the beautiful Silver Princess of Anuther Planet, and her fire-breathing Thunder Colt, Thun, who have crash-landed via a thunderbolt and need to return to their vanadium springs to survive. The group faces further perils in the Box Wood and a field of tickling feathers before discovering the Red Jinn has been usurped by the villainous Gludwig. After Randy, Kabumpo, and Planetty are trapped in the Jinn's cellar, they reunite with the Jinn (rescued from the sea by a fisherman) via his magic dinner bell. With Planetty's magic staff and some of the Jinn's elixirs, they defeat Gludwig. The Red Jinn then transforms Planetty and Thun so they can live in Oz, leading to Randy and Planetty's marriage and return to a much livelier Regalia.
