The Sins Of The Prodigal’s Brother

In Luke 15:25-32 we see a great life lesson. The prodigal’s return, the glad scene. The father running to meet the prodigal. The joy over the returning one. The man who missed out on the blessing. The elder brother returns from the field.nHe refuses to enter into the joy and therefore misses out. What caused the elder brother to miss the joy of this occasion. One the sin of a negative, critical, grumbling spirit, Two the sin of an offended spirit, and three the sin of a compassionless heart. The elder brother was neglected because our sins are revealed through studying him. Do you see yourself in this wayward son? Confess those “respectable sins” and know the joy of the Lord again.
